Karen Moore recently paid a visit to L.A.R.A. She came on behalf of Habitat for Humanity. She provided great information about The Habitat’s “ReStore” center. A ReStore center is a place that accepts donations of construction materials and home furnishings. There mission is to provide local communities with low-cost home building and home improvement materials.
The ReStore centers not only provides funding for Habitat for Humanity and high quality building materials and furnishings to the public at very low prices, they also provide the city with another avenue for recycling used goods, something that L.A.R.A. is excited about!
